Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the largest real estate development companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the completion of its project to develop Diyar Al Muharraq’s main entrance junction. This comes as part of Diyar’s plan to create a road network that is linked to high infrastructure standards and to ensure that an upgraded and facilitated level of services is provided to its residents and visitors.
The project included removal of the temporary entrance roundabout and replacing it with traffic lights, in line with a comprehensive traffic study conducted at Diyar Al Muharraq, to create greater connectivity and improve traffic flow, particularly with the network leading to the city’s most prominent destinations. This comes as part of Diyar’s vision of being an integrated and sustainable city model with high quality facilities for a modern lifestyle.
Through the development of the main entrance junction, Diyar Al Muharraq aims to facilitate the flow of traffic and movement of vehicles entering the city, making it easier for visitors to reach key destinations including Diyar Al Muharraq’s sales office, Marrassi Galleria, Vida Beach Resort, Address Beach Resort, Souq Al Baraha, as well as upcoming projects such as Diyar’s Harbor.
The construction of the junction commenced last December and was supervised by the Eastern Asphalt and Mixed Concrete Company (EAMCO). The plan was implemented in five phases over the course of 9 months, during which traffic regulations were ensured and operations were executed at an accelerated pace leading to its timely completion.
Commenting on the occasion, Eng. Ahmed Ali Alammadi, Chief Executive Officer of Diyar Al Muharraq, said, “It is with great pride and pleasure that we were able to successfully complete Diyar Al Muharraq’s main entrance junction project according to the set schedule. Through the launch of the junction, we hope to facilitate life in the city, which in turn will help contribute to attracting more visitors and increase demand for investments and housing within this modern and integrated city.”
