Seema Al Thawadi has over 20 years of experience, developed through an extensive career in Facility and Project management in the real estate sector. She joined Diyar Al Muharraq in 2013 as the manager of the Technical Interface Office, and as a result of her professional development and notable achievements she was prompted to a Senior Manager in 2018, leading to her current position as Head of the Technical Interface Office since 2020.
Through her current position in Diyar Al Muharraq, Seema guides professional and qualified teams to protect the company’s operational framework in Facility Management and Security, as well as managing the Technical requirements of Third Party developers, their Engineering Consultants and Contractors to obtain their final building approvals. In addition to supervising developers to ensure they adhere to Heath and Safety Regulations and Guidelines on Construction sites.
Seema monitors and develops Design Regulations, Guidelines, environmental systems, and structures to ensure buildings are within the Building Regulations and Architectural theme of the project. Ms. Al Thawadi is also responsible for issuing no-objection and completion of work certificates for Engineering Consultants to receive the necessary approvals from official entities.
Seema is leading the Government Relations Team in Diyar AL Muharraq who facilitates communication and coordination between Engineering Consultants, Third Party Developers and Contractors with relative Government Authorities.
She is also responsible for monitoring land, sea Security & Facility operations of Diyar Al Muharraq’s Assets and infrastructure to ensure high standards and Safety of all site users and visitors.
Since 2004, Seema Al Thawadi held several prominent positions for 9 years in the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs & Agriculture from Senior Civil Engineer, Executive Director of Customer Services, and the Director of the Municipal One Stop Shop.
Seema holds a Bachelors of Applied Science in Civil Engineering and Interior Design from University of British Columbia in Vancouver Canada. She has also received several professional certifications from a number of training institutes, such as NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from Al Mashreq Training in Bahrain, and Facility Manager Certificate from Middle East Facility Management Association in Dubai.
