Diyar Al Muharraq, the leading real estate development company in the Kingdom, announced the completion of works on the Mohammed bin Saif bin Ebrahim Al Mannai Mosque located in Deerat Al Oyoun as the first mosque in the residential project.
Under the patronage of Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al-Hajeri, the opening ceremony was held on Wednesday 21st September 2022. The inauguration was attended by His Excellency Mr. Saleh bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, advisor to His Majesty the King for Youths and Sports Affairs, His Excellency Mr. Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, Governor of Muharraq, Mr. Abdulhakeem Yaqoob Alkhayatt, Chairman of Diyar Al Muharraq, and Eng. Ahmed Alammadi, CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq. Several representatives from the Sunni Endowments Council and Diyar Al Muharraq were also in attendance alongside the main contractor, consultants and engineers who oversaw works on the project.
The Mosque is defined by a unique design concept inspired by Arab-Islamic architecture which was applied throughout the Mosque, minaret and dome. With a total plot area of more than 2450 sqm, the Mosque spans across more than 1,200 sqm and has the capacity to accommodate more than 600 worshippers.
Commenting on the occasion, Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, said, “We would like to commend Diyar Al Muharraq’s continuous efforts to construct places of worship for Allah Almighty across Bahrain and especially in Diyar Al Muharraq. Today we gather to witness the inauguration of a blessed edifice that fills us with pride in light of its incredible design and immense capacity. As such, we extend our gratitude and appreciation to everyone who made this project a reality and wish everyone continued success.”
On his end, Mr. Abdulhakeem Yaqoob Alkhayatt, Chairman of Diyar Al Muharraq, said, “By the grace of God, and the donation of a philanthropist who covered all costs of the mosque, we were able to construct Mannai Mosque efficiently all while maintaining an outstanding level of excellence. We would also like to thank everyone who worked on the project for their efforts over the past two years. This Mosque aims to serve worshippers from Deerat Al Oyoun as well as nearby neighborhoods.”
Mr. Abdulhakeem AlKhayatt also extended his gratitude to European Construction and Maintenance, the contractors on the project, as well as the consultants from Arab Architects, and the interior designers from Horizon Interiors, for their efforts to successfully completing the mosque.
