Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the leading urban developers in Bahrain, extends its efforts in contributing to enrich the educational sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain through providing elite educational institutions in the project. The master plan will include 8 schools and 2 universities, one of which is a medical university. This comes in line with Diyar’s mandate to integrate projects and services within the master plan that cater to the needs of the residents and the community.
In addition to Noor Al Diyar Private School which opened in 6 December 2017, Diyar Al Muharraq recently announced plans to open The Canadian School which will receive its first batch of students next September. Also in the pipeline are Abdul Rahman Kanoo School Diyar and the Applied Sciences University which will open their doors in Diyar Al Muharraq in the coming years.
Establishing educational institutions of this caliber is a unique step in the concept of building comprehensive modern cities where students will have the opportunity to enroll to top schools that aim to improve their skills, capabilities, qualities as well as developing the next generation of leaders and decision makers.

Noor Al Diyar Private School is the first private school to open in Diyar. It is fully equipped to teach the Cambridge Curriculum leading to IGCSE AS and A Levels, and currently accommodates kindergarten and primary student. It offers intensive care for children at the earliest stage of their lives as well as offer attractive classrooms, making this school very popular with parents. It offers strong and positive ethos and nurtures children to reach their full potential in a safe and happy environment, fostering growth, development and creativity.
The Canadian School Bahrain, which covers an area of 30,000 square meters, will be accepting students in September 2019. It offers the British Columbia curriculum with a primary goal to achieve unparalleled high academic standards by Canada. The school also integrates Arabic Language, Bahrain Social Studies & Citizenship, and Islamic Studies curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education in Bahrain.
Abdul Rahman Kanoo School Diyar and the Applied Sciences University will also establish new campuses in the Diyar Al Muharraq. Abdul Rahman Kanoo International School Diyar offers outstanding bilingual education and aims to make students active members of society. It is the 1st school in Bahrain to receive joint accreditation from CIS (Council of International School) and NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) and offers IB (The International Baccalaureate) to grades 11 and 12. Applied Sciences University (ASU) is a leading higher education institution combining practice and theory. It aims to help nationals become effective leaders in their respective fields. Also, two plots have been assigned for government schools in the first and second phases of Deerat Al Oyoun project.
