Diyar Al Muharraq, the largest real estate development company in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced its partnership agreement with Clenergize, a leading solar energy and sustainability consultancy in the Middle East region, on Tuesday, 14 November 2023, at Exhibition World Bahrain.
The signing ceremony took place alongside the second edition of Cityscape Bahrain 2023, in the presence of Eng. Ahmed Ali Alammadi, CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq, and Mr. Shyam Yadav, Managing Director of Clenergize. Through the partnership, Clenergize will evaluate Diyar Al Muharraq’s performance in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), sustainability and energy efficiency, followed by providing sustainability-focused recommendations and monitoring the organization’s progress.
The agreement will undergo a two-phase process, in which the first phase will include a carbon footprint assessment to analyze gaps, a materiality analysis and an ESG measurement study. The second phase will encompass developing ESG strategies and directives, as well as identifying key ESG performance objectives and indicators, applying mitigating measures and action plans, and adhering to Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards when preparing sustainability reports.
